  • Neurovations Research is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Research Rater to join our team on a contractual basis. As a Research Rater, you will play a crucial role in the accurate assessment and evaluation of study participants enrolled in clinical research studies conducted by Neurovations Research. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research initiatives and make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals affected by chronic pain and neurological conditions. One year experience of rating required.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Background and Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

    • Participant Assessment: Conduct standardized assessments and evaluations of study participants according to study protocols and assessment manuals. This may involve administering structured interviews, questionnaires, and clinical rating scales to assess various domains such as pain severity, functional impairment, and quality of life.
    • Data Collection: Collect and record accurate and reliable data during participant assessments, ensuring adherence to study procedures and protocols. Maintain detailed and organized records of assessment results and participant responses using electronic data capture systems or paper-based forms as required.
    • Inter-Rater Reliability: Participate in inter-rater reliability exercises to ensure consistency and reliability in assessment procedures across multiple raters. Attend training sessions and calibration meetings to standardize assessment techniques and enhance reliability among raters.
    • Adherence to Study Protocols: Follow study protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory guidelines (e.g., Good Clinical Practice) in all aspects of participant assessment and data collection. Report any deviations from protocols or adverse events promptly to the study coordinator or principal investigator.
    • Quality Assurance: Assist with quality assurance activities, including data monitoring, source document verification, and resolution of data queries and discrepancies. Review assessment forms and data entries for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with study requirements.
    • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open communication with study coordinators, principal investigators, and other team members to ensure smooth coordination of study activities. Collaborate with colleagues to address any issues or concerns related to participant assessment and data collection.

    Candidate Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, or related field required.
    • 2 years of prior experience as a research rater or clinical assessor in Alzheimer’s studies.
    • Familiarity with standardized assessment tools and rating scales commonly used in clinical research studies.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with study participants in a professional and empathetic manner.
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy and consistency in data collection.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g., REDCap, Research Electronic Data Capture) preferred.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed to accommodate participant schedules and study requirements.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
