Job Summary:
This position uses videography to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the impact God makes through Hume Christian Camps. The Videography Supervisor In-Training will work with our current Videographer Supervisor learning to lead the video team so they can consistently articulate the ministry, mission, and values of Hume Christian Camps. Types of videos produced will range from re-cap, recreation, testimonial, promotional, and creative special projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
General:
Show respect to campers, guests, peers, staff, and self
Serve as a positive role model, show enthusiasm and display a positive attitude
Be a witness for Jesus Christ in all words and actions, sharing Christ’s love with the public, campers, and staff.
Specific:
Use knowledge and understanding of current trends in media to effectively deliver content
Work with respective ministry leaders to support projects from concept to final delivery
Lead the video team in the production of videos that communicate our mission and impact
Delegate and schedule video projects while supervising seasonal and part-time staff
Qualifications & Requirements:
General:
Ability to be on-site at Hume Lake while camp programs are in session
Has a sincere love for the Lord and a desire to see campers come to know and grow in Him
Agreement with the theological positions, philosophy, and policies of Hume
Able to fulfill Hume Christian Camp’s purpose and core values
Positive formal and informal performance reviews
Specific:
Working knowledge of videography, video editing, and cinematography
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
Proficiency in UAV operations and FAA Part 107 Certified
Ability to coach each video team members individually and consistently
Ability to organize footage and assets
Ability to delegate projects and deadlines.
Knowledge of motion graphics, photography, graphic design is helpful
Ability to learn a variety of tasks, schedules, and programs quickly
Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, interpersonal skills relating well to all kinds of people
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
You will be required to live on-site during the camp session. Experience working with youth and adults from diverse backgrounds, working as a team as well as independently.
Physical requirements include bending, lifting, sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, running, and possibly swimming. Hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and normal range of eyesight and hearing required to communicate with staff and manipulate camp equipment. Must operate with daily exposure to the cold, heat, rain, sun, and varying other weather conditions, as well as under irregular working hours in a camp environment. Able to lift 25-50 pounds.
