    Position Summary:
    Reporting to the Director of Creative Production, the role of the Marketing team is to execute multi-channel strategies that help the university achieve its enrollment goals at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The unit is responsible for developing and executing targeted messaging and storytelling to a wide range of nuanced audiences including prospective undergraduates, transfer students, graduate students, international students, students with veteran status, and family members who support their college-going students.

    JOB DUTIES:

    Video Production:
    • Capture professional footage using advanced video, audio, and lighting equipment which includes the Panasonic camera system.
    • Ensure that videos adhere to the institution's brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual style and tone.

    Video Editing and Post-production:
    • Edit raw footage into polished, visually appealing, and impactful videos.
    • Incorporate graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance production value.
    • Enhance storytelling elements through synchronized audio, music, and color enhancement techniques.

    Content Strategy and Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with campus stakeholders.
    • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop creative video concepts and ideas that align with the institution's goals.
    • Provide input and expertise in crafting compelling video narratives that resonate with the target audience.

    Equipment Maintenance:
    • Ensure all video production equipment is well-maintained, up-to-date, and in excellent working condition.

    Video Distribution and Analytics:
    • Optimize videos for different platforms, including Willamette's website, social media channels, and YouTube.
    • Analyze video performance metrics to inform future video production.

    Project Management:
    • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and project milestones.
    • Schedule interviews, and book and scout locations. Coordinate with stakeholders to write and review interview questions.
    • Maintain an organized video library/archive for easy retrieval of past projects.
    • Stay informed about advancements in video production technology and recommend upgrades or new equipment as necessary.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor's degree in film, video production, media studies, or a related field OR any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.
    • Portfolio showcasing a diverse range of video projects demonstrating creativity, technical skills, and the ability to adapt to various styles and genres.
    • Must have a strong appreciation for diversity and enthusiasm for working with diverse populations.
    • Proficiency in software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects, or equivalents.
    • Outstanding organizational abilities, demonstrated by timely task completion and a high degree of self-motivation.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • 5 years of experience leading the development of video projects including experience in videography, video editing, and video production.
    • Strong understanding of storytelling and composition, and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
    • Experience filming with DSLR cameras.
    • Experience with problem-solving and decision-making.
    • Communication and collaboration skills..
    • Knowledge of video trends and best practices in the digital and social media landscape.

    Typical Work Schedule:

    Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with some weeknight and weekend work.

    Physical Demands & Working Conditions:

    Lifting lighting and camera equipment when filming. Typical indoor work in a normal office environment when editing. This position may be based out of Salem or Portland, Oregon, but will require filming at campus locations in both cities. This position is eligible to work from home up to 2 days per week when not filming, with manager's approval.

    Salary: $53,000
