RESPONSIBILTIES:

• Friendly, enthusiastic, compassionate and professional demeanor with clients, patients and co-workers
• Perform basic veterinary care including but not limited to: intravenous injections, blood draws, indicating vaccinating, nail trims, subcutaneous fluids, endotracheal intubation, catheter placement, medication administration microchipping under the direction of the DVM
• Restraining animals for examination or treatment
• Perform diagnostic imaging with digital x-ray
• Set up appointments and triage patients under DVM supervision
• Collect relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts
• Educate clients on patient home care
• Clean, sterilize, and organize treatment areas, exam rooms and labs
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train and develop co-workers

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 1-2 years working experience as a Veterinary Technician preferred
• Demonstrated experience administering medications, vaccines, and treatments
• Skilled with anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, induction, recovery and general pharmacology
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and veterinary practice management software preferred
• Strong attention to details in a fast-paced setting and ability to multi-task
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional client service and professionalism via phone, written communication, and in-person
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
