Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Your duties will include assisting veterinarians during examinations and surgeries, performing laboratory tests, administering medications, and providing general care for animals. The ideal candidate will have experience in pet care and veterinary procedures, as well as strong knowledge of veterinary terminology.

Duties:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other procedures
- Perform laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Take and develop X-rays
- Prepare animals for surgery and monitor their vital signs during procedures
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
- Handle dogs, cats, and other animals with care and compassion

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Familiarity with X-ray equipment operation
- Experience with equine care is a plus
- Proficiency in laboratory procedures and sample analysis
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness and preventing infection
- Familiarity with pet grooming techniques is beneficial
