Administers injections, performs venipunctures, applies wound dressings, cleans teeth, and takes vital signs of animal. Being a Veterinary Assistant requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified/licensed. Additionally, Veterinary Assistant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Inland Empire Veterinary Imaging is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We are a referral based diagnostic imaging service, located in Spokane, Washington. We offer diagnostic ultrasonography, CT scan, and radiographic interpretation.
Qualifications: Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and independently while maintaining dedication to the highest quality of patient care and client service.
Job duties include, but are not limited to: assessment of patient vitals, patient restraint, medical charting, running ECG, maintain ultrasound room and CT suite, prepare laboratory samples, enemas and perform radiographs. Assist Veterinarian and other Veterinary Assistants/Technicians in daily tasks.
