Veterinary Assistant jobs in Somerset, NJ

We are a privately-owned, two doctor practice focused on providing loving, family friendly care to the pets of our community. We are looking for a personable individual who will add to our work culture and join us in delivering high quality care to our clients and pets. We truly care about our staff and do not accept any physical or verbal abuse from clients.

Compensation is based on experience. One year of veterinary assistant experience is required.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Greeting clients
• Obtaining vital signs, medical histories, and maintaining accurate medical records
• Client education
• Liaison communication between clients and veterinarians
• Patient restraint and handling
• Preparing vaccines and medications
• Processing and preparing laboratory samples for reference laboratory and in-house testing
• Maintaining cleanliness of all hospital areas
