Administers injections, performs venipunctures, applies wound dressings, cleans teeth, and takes vital signs of animal. Being a Veterinary Assistant requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified/licensed. Additionally, Veterinary Assistant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Hillsdale Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team! We are looking for someone who is specifically interested in becoming a lead CVT for our hosptial.
Compensation: $20-22/hr AND $2500 sign-on bonus!
Location: 6359 SW Capitol Hwy Portland, OR 97239
Shift Details: This is a full-time position (30 hours/week), working 10 hour shifts, 4 days a week.
The ideal applicant brings strong medical ability, a passion for patient care, teamwork, and creative problem solving to our Hillsdale work family! You should have at least one year of general practice experience and be proficient in veterinary assisting skills.
