Administers injections, performs venipunctures, applies wound dressings, cleans teeth, and takes vital signs of animal. Being a Veterinary Assistant requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to be certified/licensed. Additionally, Veterinary Assistant is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. We are currently seeking a veterinary assistant with the potential to learn the receptionist position. This position would begin with training as a veterinary assistant as loving animals is a must for all our team members. Your duties would begin with learning to restrain animals, care for animals in the kennel and hospital, and cleaning with the intent of learning all support positions over time. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task. Would be willing to train the right candidate even if no previous experience. Weekend and holiday duties required on a rotating basis among all employees. Must have great, positive attitude!!!
