This document is to provide a working job description for the position of Assistant. There may be other tasks or requirements that this document doesn’t embody. It is to serve as a general outline of what a typical day may entail. 

Some of the responsibilities of an Assistant are:

• Daily maintenance of exam rooms including cleaning, stocking, and organizing
• Cleaning and maintenance of working areas including tables, counters, and other work areas
• Assisting Veterinary Assistants and Certified Technicians with check sheet duties
• Helping restrain pets when needed
• Ensure patients have their food, water, and walks as needed or directed by a Veterinary Assistant, Certified Technician or Doctor
• Under the guidance of Veterinary Assistants and Certified Technicians, keep an eye/ear out for nail trims and suture removals
• Proactively find tasks that can assist their fellow Team Members
• Other responsibilities as assigned
