Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Control Inspector to join our team. Duties:
- Perform quality inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Analyze product specifications and technical drawings to ensure compliance
- Utilize various measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments
- Conduct visual inspections to identify defects or non-conformities
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities
- Collaborate with production teams to address any quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Follow established protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and guidelines, and other relevant industry standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall product quality and efficiency
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, practices, and techniques
- Proficient in using measuring tools such as calipers, CMM, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
