Vendor Quality Control Analyst jobs in Ogden, UT

Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Vendor Quality Control Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. What began as a strictly Swiss cheese plant, has expanded until now over 30 varieties of cheeses, and also UHT (Ultra High Temperature) shelf stable milk in a variety of flavors.

    Quality Control - Night Shift

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Will be handling day to day quality control related tasks
    • This position requires a significant amount of training.
    • Assist with HACCP and SQF programs.
    • Ensuring proper controls and processes are being followed as part of an established SOP "Standard Operating Procedure" and Safety Process or processes.
    • Interact with multiple departments in all cheese plant.
    • Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs.
    • Any other task assigned by supervisor.
    • Inspecting and test product quality.

    Qualifications:

    • High S Science and/or Laboratory experience preferred.
    • Good attendance a must.
    • Not required, but a plus: 2 years food industry experience, preferably dairy
    • Computer Skills required with Outlook, Excel, and Word.
    • Professional demeanor and English communication skills required. (Written and oral)
    • Must be able to pay attention to details and instructions.
    • Must be self-motivating, able to use time efficiently, and work on several tasks without supervision.
    • Filing and organizational skills.
    • Teamwork and the ability to work well with others.
    • Willing to learn QC programs.
    • Must be able to adapt to changes and fluctuations to job tasks.
    • Attention to detail.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 1-2 years experience in manufacturing environment or production.

    Starting Pay: DOE

    Schedule: Monday-Thursday from 6:00 pm- 6:00 am occasionally Fridays
