Vendor Quality Control Analyst evaluates vendor operations, products, and services for compliance with government and company quality standards. Conducts audits and testing of products, materials, and processes to measure effectiveness and compliance with company expectations. Being a Vendor Quality Control Analyst analyzes and monitors metrics and KPIs to suggest improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and identifies alternative vendors to mitigate risks and resolve problems. Additionally, Vendor Quality Control Analyst assists with drafting and negotiating service-level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are adequately defined. Prepares reports and updates on vendor status and quality. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Quality Control plays a vital role in ensuring the Quality and Accuracy of our buildings is aligned to service our stores. The accuracy of our Inventory, Gaylords/ Pallets and Seasonal Flow determines the level of consistency needed to operate an efficient Supply Chain Operation. Processing, under the vision on 100% accuracy, ranges into Pro Processing ensuring our Vendors are processed in accordance to Company Expectations and Compliance.
Job Description
Inventory Accuracy: Ensure that the Cycle is completed on every section, row and gaylord/ pallet weekly. Once the cycle is completed the results need to be share with Manager.
Gaylord/ Item Pricing Auditing: The audit team will ensure the database pricing is up to date. The audit will consist of Label Placement, Pallet/ Gaylord Quality Accuracy, Vendor Defacing Compliance and Pallet Presentation and Build a Pallet accuracy.
Inbound/Outbound Load Auditing: The audit will consist of Load Quality, Damages, and Loading compliance as it relates to Inbound delivery and/or Outbound loading procedures.
Yard Check: The Quality Control Team will perform a Yard Check twice a month ensuring the accuracy of our trailer capacity (including location and inventory of Storage Trailers).
Vendor Pro Processing: Ensuring Vendor processing is 100% accurate with directions set by company standards.
Requirements
• Must be able to pass CCM forklift certification test
• Must be able to operate inventory scanner
• The ability to read load sheets
• The ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Adhere to all safety policy and procedures
• Ability to work a flexible schedule (until work is done), including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Staging pallets to be loaded
• Moving merchandise to and from processing areas
• Keep warehouse neat and orderly
• Keep forklift aisles free of debris and identifying potential safety hazards
• Sorting through pallet of merchandise
• Moving merchandise to open top containers
• Read inventory reports, load sheets, pallet tickets or other similar items to determine type and quantity of merchandise to be moved and processed at a certain location

Physical Requirements:
• Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have ability to stand, or sit, for extended periods (entire shift) and to move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures.
• Ability to bend and twist frequently
• Work in extreme weather.
