Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within our facilities. Your primary duties will include performing various cleaning tasks, ensuring the proper care and maintenance of equipment, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and notify supervisor when supplies need to be replenished
- Follow established safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
- Assist with setting up meeting rooms or event spaces as needed
- Perform floor care duties such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and safety
Requirements:
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred
- Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects if required
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
