Vehicle Maintenance Manager assists with the acquisition, operations, and maintenance of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles. Assigns vehicles and drivers, prepares schedules, and oversees dispatch operations. Being a Vehicle Maintenance Manager evaluates, purchases, leases, and disposes of vehicles to maintain the fleet. Develops and maintains vendor and service provider relationships for fuel, maintenance, and other essential services. Additionally, Vehicle Maintenance Manager develops and implements safety, preventive maintenance, and accident prevention programs. Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and fleet-specific regulations, licensing, registration, and reporting requirements. May administer insurance policy coverage, negotiates agreements, and participate in claim resolution. Manages the fleet expense reporting and budgets. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Vehicle Maintenance Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Vehicle Maintenance Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Job Summary
Summit Stairs & Millwork Inc. is hiring a Vehicle & Facility Maintenance Technician to perform routine and complex servicing of box trucks and rebuilding of a variety of production machinery and equipment as well as assist with repair and maintenance work in the company facility. This is a full time position with operating hours from 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday- Friday; occasional overtime and/or weekend hours will be required based on operational needs. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.

Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses malfunctions and replaces defective parts of vehicles & machinery
- Perform day-to-day repairs, emergency repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles, machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, tools and production equipment.
- Maintains accurate records of vehicle & equipment maintenance activities.
- Initiates orders for necessary materials and supplies to complete repair and maintenance task.
- Notifies supervisor of situations involving mechanical problems, or other issues requiring attention.
- Observe safety procedures and complies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety.
- Performs other repairs and maintenance related duties as required
Job Qualifications/Experience
- High school diploma or GED; vocational or trade school training with one (1) year experience in a skilled trade (mechanic, machine repair), building maintenance or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Vehicle maintenance 1 year preferred
