Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely billing for medical services. This position requires strong knowledge of medical coding, terminology, and billing systems.

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze patient medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes (ICD-9, ICD-10) for diagnoses and procedures
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims and denials, and resubmit claims as necessary
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Maintain accurate records of all billing activities
- Collaborate with medical office staff to resolve billing issues and discrepancies
- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries

Skills:
- Proficiency in medical coding systems (ICD-9, ICD-10) and medical terminology
- Strong understanding of medical billing processes and insurance guidelines, with a minimum of 18-24 months of relevant work experience.
- Experience with medical office software and billing systems
- Ability to analyze complex medical records and accurately assign codes
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
