Van Driver operates company vans or small buses. Loads and unloads passengers between various destinations. Being a Van Driver provides and collects appropriate documentation for passenger transportation. Ensures pick-up and drop-off are on time. Additionally, Van Driver may keep logs of vehicle maintenance. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires a Valid Driver's License. May Require Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class B. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Van Driver works under moderate supervision. This position will have the responsibility of a designated bus route in the morning and afternoon of school days with the possibility of additional driving throughout the day. Any offers of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and physical. Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour (potential for more depending on years of experience) with benefits.
This position has the opportunity to be a Bus Driver position if a CDL is obtained post-hire or an applicant has a CDL upon hire.
Responsibilities:
Transport children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons.
Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times
Obey all traffic laws
Perform pre/post trip inspections of the bus or vehicle
Ensure the safety of students at all times
