Job Summary

Drive a dump truck and pup to and from the job site. While ensuring that all safety procedures are being followed. Must be willing to get out of the truck to help on the job site as well when needed/required.

Pay: $25 to $28 depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs materials handling and storage.
• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are being followed. Brings any problems to the attention of the truck manager.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect delivery instructions daily from the Truck Manager, verifying instructions and routes.
• Secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers.
• Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles immediately.
• Must plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment.
• Work with traffic control to ensure all safety procedures are being followed and not disrupting traffic or causing potential hazard to other vehicles and pedestrians.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, cold weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibrations. The noise level is generally quiet while driving, but loud once in the field.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

• Full Time position. 50 hours minimum with overtime every week. Monday-Friday, 630am – 5pm, hours may vary depending on work demands. Occasional Saturdays may be required.

Qualifications

• Flatbed Experience
• Class A CDL required with Triple & Double Endorsement
