UTILITY PERSON jobs in Vermont

Gray Rock Quarry in Milton, Vermont is seeking a well-rounded skilled laborer to assist with aggregate and hot mix asphalt production. Candidate must be reliable, safety minded and self-motivated to help accomplish various duties at our facility. The right person will be a responsible and safety-conscious individual that is capable of general labor as well as mechanical support to maintain an aggregate processing plant, hot mix asphalt plant and heavy equipment. Other duties may involve training to become a crushing plant operator and heavy equipment operator. Cutting and welding skills are also desired. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: helping with maintenance and repair, equipment operation and assisting with daily maintenence and production duties. Pay is dependent on experience.

Requirements:

• Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment
• Must be able to operate equipment safely and efficiently
• Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on equipment
• Willing to learn and help where needed at the facility
• The willingness to work extended hours if needed
• Able to lift 70 lbs
• Able to sit, stand and climb for long periods of time
• Able to use hand and power tools
• Must be able to work outside
• Experience cutting and welding preffered

Gray Rock Quarry is a locally owned business that supplies blasted rock and crushed gravels and stones to the local construction market. We operate and maintain crushers and several types of heavy equipment including excavators, haul trucks and loaders to accomplish our production and sales goals.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
