Bridgeways is seeking a Substance Use Disorder Liaison (SUDP) to join our Therapeutic Courts Team. This is an extremely rewarding position where you can directly help people struggling for stability and consistency in their lives.

      

    Type & Pay: Full-time, non-exempt, paid biweekly. Wage range from $25.50-$32.50 per hour, DOE

    Requirements

     Summary:

    The SUDC Substance Use Disorder Liaison (SUDP) provides education, referral and coordination activities for the Bridgeways SUDC programs. The Liaison will work directly with participants in the Therapeutic Courts Program (TCP) in referring for substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health treatment and other needed services. The liaison will provide assistance to the participants in applying for Medicaid and other benefit programs and act as a conduit of information between the SUD teams, identified participants, and service providers, and will provide education and consultation to the SUD teams. 

     
     

    Primary Responsibilities for Substance Use Disorder Professional:

    • Works directly with the SUD participants to link them to available resources including but not limited to medical treatment, behavioral health services, substance use disorders (SUD) treatment, food assistance, housing, education, and employment services.
    • Provides substance use disorder assessments and treatment recommendations.
    • Assists SUD participants identify SUD providers and enrollment into services.
    • Works in partnership with the Participant, the Court, the Prosecuting Attorney, the Defense Attorney and a wide range of professionals and community-based service providers in an effort to minimize the participant’s’ involvement with the criminal justice system.
    • Attends court hearings and presents information related to the participant’s treatment, including any recommendations to the Court.
    • Participates in meetings and case conferences with treatment professionals, community service providers and court personnel to discuss participant progress and develop and update the goal plan as needed. Provides group social and education services to participants.
    • Attends and participates in the SUD workgroup meetings.
    • Understands and practices safekeeping of participants’ protected health information per Bridgeways’ HIPAA policies and procedures.
    • Documents care in electronic medical records (EMR) in accordance with agency, contractual and state guidelines. 
    • Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate and performed within specified time frames.

     

    Requirements for SUDP Liaison


    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE required for Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP)

    • Must have an unrestricted SUDP license and have working knowledge of treatment best practices and treatment providers in local areas. 
    • Strong understanding of other community resources in Snohomish County. 
    • Experience working with a court team, judge and or legal counsel preferred.

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS

    • Must be able to practice empathetic listening, humility, curiosity, and self-awareness and be able to work collaboratively with people with varied personalities, disabilities, cultures, and interests while maintaining healthy boundaries.
    • Bilingual ability may be beneficial, but not essential.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public is very important.

    OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Proficient with PC including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams.
    • Ability to learn and utilize electronic medical records for confidential and safe record-keeping that conforms to agency requirements.
    • Ability to efficiently manage one’s daily, weekly and monthly work schedule including in-office sessions and travel to out-of-office appointments, meetings, etc. to meet or exceed productivity standards and caseload needs.
    • Able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the courts and participants.
    • Able to work as an effective team member.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    • Must have an unrestricted SUDP license. 
    • Must be able to pass Background and OIG check. Convictions will not automatically disqualify you from employment with Bridgeways. We will consider the particular circumstances of each case and any additional information that can be provided.
    • Must have or be able to obtain a Washington State Drivers License, access to a vehicle, and automobile insurance.
