    The User Experience Design Manager will spearhead the transformation of our digital ecosystem, orchestrating a harmonious blend of user-centric experiences and visually captivating interfaces. This role will be a leader in the e-Operations and Digital Experience organization bringing the principles of user experiences and user interfaces to create meaningful engagements with consumers. 

     

    This role is seen as a thought leader for the ever-evolving landscape for the organization, framing UI and UX solutions, researching and testing solutions and working with implementation teams to put solutions into use.  The User Experience Design Manager will use data and user feedback to iterate and continue to enhance experiences. 

     

    The User Experience Design Manager works day-to-day with leadership, business stakeholders, experience personnel, engineering and analytic team, providing guidance, support, leadership, monitoring initiatives, providing solutions and guidance around e-operations and digital business initiatives. 

    Responsibilities

    • Strategic Leadership
      • Execute the overall UX/UI strategy, ensuring a harmonious blend of functional usability and aesthetic appeal.
      • Collaborate with leadership to articulate the value of a cohesive UX/UI approach in achieving organizational objectives.
    • User Research and Testing
      • Conduct in-depth user research, including surveys, interviews, and usability testing, to gain insights into user behaviors and preferences.
      • Utilize data-driven insights to inform design decisions, ensuring both usability and visual appeal.
    • Design Execution
      • Create high-quality wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications, emphasizing a seamless transition from concept to development.
      • Develop visually compelling user interfaces that align with the brand identity and enhance the overall user experience.
    • Cross-functional Collaboration
      • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other stakeholders, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to product development.
      • Act as a bridge between design and development, facilitating communication and understanding between the two disciplines.
    • Continuous Learning and Innovation
      • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX/UI design.
      • Encourage and support a culture of continuous learning within the team, fostering innovation and creativity.
    • Advocacy for the User
      • Advocate for the user throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring that design decisions prioritize user needs and enhance overall satisfaction.
      • Establish and evangelize design standards and guidelines to maintain a consistent and delightful user experience across all touch points.
    • Documentation and Standardization
      • Create and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including style guides, pattern libraries, and design system components.
      • Ensure adherence to design standards and guidelines to maintain a cohesive and polished user interface.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
    • 5 Years of combined experience in UX and UI design, showcasing a robust portfolio of successful projects.
    • Understanding of regulated insurance industry.
    • Proven leadership experience in both UX and UI roles.
    • Proficiency in UX/UI design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
    • Strong understanding of usability, accessibility, and user-centered design principles.
    • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest UI design trends and visual design principles.
