Operations Manager – Job Description:

Are you ready to take charge of operations in a fast-paced environment? PCI Waste & Recycling Equipment is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee our day-to-day service and shop operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

• Scheduling and coordinating service work and installations to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Dispatching resources efficiently to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Ensuring completion of work orders, including thorough documentation and customer sign-off, to maintain quality standards.
• Providing accurate estimates for repairs, shop work, and installations to support decision-making and budgeting.
• Managing parts inventory and generating purchase orders to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize delays.
• Playing a pivotal role in hiring, training, and terminating service technicians to build a skilled and motivated team.
• Overseeing service trucks, including maintenance, tool organization, parts inventory, and stock management.
• Managing shop facilities, equipment, forklifts, trailers, and enforcing safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Demonstrating a general understanding of equipment installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and steel fabrication, both in the field and at the shop.

Supervision and Autonomy:
Reporting to the Owners, you will enjoy a level of autonomy in managing day-to-day operations and making decisions that prioritize customer satisfaction and PCI's reputation. Your ability to exercise sound judgment and effectively utilize company resources will directly impact our success and customer retention.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in MS Office suite and Quickbooks Premier Plus, along with experience in phone systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration and customer interaction.
• Previous experience as a mechanic, welder/fabricator, electrician, or hydraulic technician is highly beneficial.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot equipment over the phone is necessary for efficient problem-solving.
• Punctuality, dependability, teamwork, and the ability to handle constructive feedback are key attributes we value.
• Working knowledge of balers, compactors, and other waste and recycling equipment is required.

Additional Requirements:

• This role may involve working in the office, shop, warehouse, or field environment, requiring physical activities such as standing, bending, sitting, squatting, and walking.
• Proficiency in operating a forklift is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and occasional overnight travel may be required.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
