Intermediate Urban Designer

SITELAB urban studio is looking for an intermediate urban designer to join our San Francisco team. Our ideal candidate has experience working on strategic and urban design projects in the US, with an ability to weave together pragmatism and vision. We are a fast-paced office working on transformative projects from taking action to spur downtown recovery to adapting San Francisco’s waterfront to be climate resilient to exploring sustainable models for new city development in California. We are looking for someone who is a thinker, curious, engaged, team-oriented, ready for a challenge, has a sense of humor and is driven by supporting equitable, inclusive communities.

Candidates must have a master’s degree in urban design, city planning, architecture, or landscape architecture and minimum of 3-6 years of post graduate degree relevant working experience (or comparable). Candidates with more experience are also encouraged to apply. Experience should include managing work efforts and directing design process and/or technical workflow. Based on current project needs, desired professional experience includes site planning, leading massing studies, managing development program tables, GIS analysis, navigating building and planning codes, facilitating client meetings. Fluency in AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, Adobe Creative Suite, and Excel is required.

Base salary range $75k - $90k DOE full benefits as well as bonuses based on individual and firm performance. This is a hybrid position with minimum of two days/week (Monday/ Thursday) in office in downtown San Francisco. Come join our growing team!
