Job Summary:

The Housekeeper at Century Linen is a vital member of our team responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment both inside and outside the plant. Working collaboratively with fellow team members, the Housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the facility.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Working alongside a team, the Housekeeper is responsible for performing a range of duties during each shift, including:

• Ensuring cleanliness throughout the interior and exterior of the plant premises.
• Employing various cleaning techniques, such as sweeping, mopping, and blowing down, to maintain pristine working surfaces including floors, walls, and mezzanines.
• Thoroughly cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting break rooms and restrooms to uphold hygienic standards.
• Regularly removing debris and dust to maintain a tidy and clutter-free facility.
• Cleaning machines and disposing of bio-hazardous materials and oil in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Demonstrating a commitment to responsible chemical management by consistently using provided personal protective gear, refilling equipment dispensers, and ensuring safe practices are followed.
• Transferring empty chemical containers from the plant's interior to designated exterior locations.
• Collecting and appropriately disposing of empty linen boxes, cardboard, pallets, and other materials in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintaining sanitizer dispensers across the facility to ensure a clean and sanitized environment.
• Conducting thorough sweeping and blowing under machines between shifts and addressing the external areas of the plant.
• Utilizing blowers to remove lint from the plant's roof, gathering it, and preparing it for proper disposal.

 Minimum Qualifications:

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing situations.

Excellent teamwork skills, collaborating effectively with team members.

Willingness to work flexible shifts, including day and night rotations based on production demands.

Availability for extended hours and weekends (Saturday/Sunday).

 Preferred Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED.

Previous experience in a plant environment.

Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish).

Physical Requirements: The role involves continuous standing, walking, and the ability to lift, handle, and move objects weighing over 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Primarily within the plant environment, this role involves exposure to varying temperatures, noise, wet conditions, chemicals, and other potential hazards. The ability to operate heavy machinery safely, such as trash compactors or lift trucks, while adhering to indoor and outdoor safety protocols, is essential.
