Being an Underwriting Supervisor analyzes various rate plans utilizing a company's claims history to determine the appropriate rate plan and benefits costs. Must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. Additionally, Underwriting Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. AmTrust is searching for an experienced and knowledgeable Renewal Underwriting Supervisor to manage and lead the West Region underwriting team. This position will lead and train underwriters and Underwriting Assistants to ensure integrity of underwriting activities and processes. You will also lead your team to work closely with Regional Sales Managers and Agents to target and identify opportunities to meet and or exceed annual sales and profit goals.
The salary range for this role is $120k - $135k. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics. This range may be modified in the future.
