Underwriting Assistant provides support and assistance to underwriting staff. Performs administrative duties regarding new and renewal accounts, risk assessments, and loss runs and loss ratings. Being an Underwriting Assistant may assist underwriters with the computation of rates and premiums. Typically requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Underwriting Assistant typically reports to a supervisor. The Underwriting Assistant works under moderate supervision. The Underwriting Assistant will have daily contact with agents discussing accounts to acknowledge receipt, determine acceptability, gather information, rate new business and manage the pipeline. This role will communicate with agency marketing representatives responding to inquiries regarding service and questions on procedures. This individual will work in a team environment to meet service priorities and due dates and provide reports, data and other needed information to the management team.
**This is a hybrid position, 2-3 day's onsite at our Home Office Location in Conshohocken, PA.
