Underwriting Assistant jobs in Evansville, IN

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
- Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment

Requirements:
- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience
- Proficiency in SoftDent or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques, including taking and developing dental x-rays
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and record patient information
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay: $18.23 - $21.96 per hour
