Underwriter (Life) jobs in North Carolina

Underwriters are responsible for reviewing property risk for adequate coverage and for any potential liability. You should have a Property and Casualty license with minimum 2 years experience. If you have underwriting experience, that would be an advantage. This role requires excellent communication skills, analytical skills and the ability to work independently.

Salary negotiable depending upon experience

Responsibilities:

• Perform analysis of the applications to check their accuracy.
• Follow up on any needed information, documents, signatures etc
• Upload documents, photos
• Note file of all activity - phone calls, email, follow ups
• Assist agents with pre-approvals and quotes as needed
• Create and maintain relationships with insurance agencies-
• Answer phone calls, return phone calls as relates to assisting agents
• Read and reply to emails from agents
• Be team player as underwriting projects are introduced
• Process as needed endorsements, cancellations etc

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
