The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge and experience in system infrastructure and be able to ensure high levels of system performance, security and availability.Responsibilities:1. Manage network servers and technology tools.2. Set up accounts and workstations, maintaining system documentation for new and existing installations.3. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.4. Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls.5. Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues.6. Upgrade systems with new releases and models.7. Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.8. Oversee and test system security, backup, and restore protocols.9. Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g., user authorization, firewalls).Requirements:1. Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role.2. Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN), patch management.3. Proficient in PowerShell, with experience in scripting and automation.4. Solid knowledge of Windows Servers, VMware, operating systems, and platform management.5. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.7. Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines.8. BSc/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) will be a plus.9. Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability.10. Proficiency in documentation and written communication.11. Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.The Systems Administrator is part of an IT team and needs to work closely with staff to understand their needs and develop ways to address them.
