Ensures that yard’s staffing and equipment will meet delivery needs. Ensures trucks and team members are scheduled appropriately. Establishes and maintains the overall operational and delivery strategies. Overall responsibility for managing variable expenses within budgeted targets. Maintains proper maintenance and equipment protection program. Understands and plans for equipment depreciation. Ensures equipment is maintained to company operating standards. Overall responsibility for yard safety, cleanliness and injury/accident prevention. Responsible for overseeing and enforcing safety programs and procedures. Investigates all accidents and injuries thoroughly. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of related work experience Strong Microsoft office skills Demonstrated knowledge of managing a profit-making operation by setting and meeting goals Demonstrated knowledge of overall distribution business Core Competencies: Strive to do the right thing by displaying trust and integrity.
