Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Contracts Team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is one of the country's leading Mental Health, Forensic and Community Services providers.
As Contract Support Officer you will support Contracts Managers to manage their portfolios of healthcare contracts and assisting in the negotiation of these contracts.
The postholder will work within the existing Team to support the contractual delivery of services including sub-contracted services.
The post holder will need to be able to manage often conflicting and non- negotiable deadlines and be a good communicator who can liaise and work in partnership with a wide range of organisations, agencies and individuals.
We are looking for a candidate with proven experience of working in multi-disciplinary groups and with a diverse range of stakeholders.
This is a full-time post ( hours per week). The role will be based in Mansfield with some flexibility for home working where appropriate.
Travelling across our Trust and Provider locations in Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas will be required.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for : -
Assisting in the negotiation and management of a range of healthcare contracts including NHS, Non-NHS, Community, Council, Third Party (Voluntary) Sector and any other emerging contracts.
Responsible for the production of reports within agreed timescales.
Organisation and co-ordination of meetings, creation and distribution of agendas and meeting papers.
Minute taking and disseminating information to a range of internal and external stakeholders.
Assisting in the development and maintenance of contracts database and shared folder.
Supporting the process of ongoing contract review for a range of Providers.
Supporting Contracts Managers to manage their portfolio of healthcare contracts.

To support the ongoing contract review process for a range of Providers including :
g) Ensuring actions are delivered to agreed deadlines.
To support the effective contractual management of a portfolio of providers with the direction from Contracts Managers.
Assist in the development and construction of robust contracts such as NHS sub contracts, provider to provider sub contracts, provider agreements, memorandum of understandings.
Ensure effective engagement and working relationships with Commissioner and Provider representatives to ensure performance monitoring of contracts is undertaken and recorded in line with appropriate regulations and frameworks.
Prepare and collate the information required for regular contract performance meetings and reports highlighting areas of risk and concern, including outcomes data.
Support Contracts Managers across a wide range of internal / external meetings and working groups.
Provide effective administration cover and flexible support to the wider contracting team, including maintenance of office processes and protocols and develop maintain the contracts database.
Take responsibility for the efficient organisation and maintenance of a centralised computer-based filing system for all Trust contracts.
Support the administration of the contract database and facilitate and track the issue of contracts for signing.
Ensure the integrity of the Contracting Team by maintaining a professional manner and ensure all contacts with internal and external stakeholders are in a professional and welcoming manner.
Develop a good working knowledge of contracts held by the Trust and sources of information in order to be able to respond to queries where required.
Undertake specific project management work to assist in the delivery of key objectives and work strategies.
