Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assure proper handling of accounts assigned, monitor investments, portfolio management for clients. Monitor receipts of income, approve expenses and distributions.

Account administration of all accounts assigned. Account types may consist of personal trusts, Investment agencies, insurance trusts, and estates.

Maintain good communication with current and prospective clients. Respond promptly and accurately to client requests, questions or concerns.

Serve as legal consultant for Department. Review, monitor and work closely with other Trust Officers and staff as necessary regarding legal aspects of accounts and the Department.

New business development to grow the Department. Community involvement to enhance the image of the bank.

Knowledge of Trust laws, rules, and regulations. Should attend specialized Trust schools, conferences, and seminars. Keep abreast of financial markets, the economy and economic forecasts.

Need to enjoy working with people whether in person or by phone. Should possess good written and oral communication skills. Should be detail oriented, organized and be able to work under pressure. Should have good computer skills and knowledge, and the ability to work as a team player.

Must be organized to facilitate the proper flow of work and clients. Be able to work under pressure, deadlines and adjust to varying workloads. Be able to perform various types of research and adept at solving problems.

Maintain public profile by being involved in community and bank organizations and events. Assist trust personnel in preparing brochures, pamphlets and newsletters to promote the services provided by the Trust Department. Coordinate Trust Seminars as necessary for client base and prospective clients.
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years college degree or equivalent work in financial, legal or trust industries.
Minimum 2 years experience in Trust Administration
Knowledge of Trust laws, rules and regulations
Detail oriented, organized and able to work under pressure
Type of Position
This is a full-time position with hours and days of work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel Requirements
May involve some travel to branch locations and also out-of-area and overnight travel required for training purposes.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance. Must not share any information regarding clients with anyone in family, friends, spouse, public, etc.
Maintain close customer contact regarding portfolio management. Be a team player with all members of the Department. Know the legal aspects of Trust Administration in order to make proper administrative decisions. Research and review of customer files and possess good teamwork abilities. Maintain proper file documentation. Serve as legal consultant for the Department.
