    POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
    The Banking Officer Rotational Development program offers a challenging 18-month program designed to prepare participants for a successful Banking Officer career at Republic Bank. This program will develop future leaders of Republic Bank and provide for emerging career professional opportunities to develop specialized knowledge and skill sets. Program participants move through specific business areas focused on the development of analytical and business development skills, as well as additional exposure to community activities and other featured areas within the Bank. Upon completion of the rotations, participants will receive a permanent Banking Officer placement in the Bank. Placement is determined by each participant’s career interests and qualifications, and the needs of the Bank.

    Participants will rotate through various business areas, including the following, to develop key skill sets necessary for long-term placement at the Bank:
    • Commercial Lending
    • Credit Administration
    • Private Banking
    • Retail Banking
    • Treasury Management
    • Special Assets and Retail Collections

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, or Business-related degree required. (Recent Graduate between December 2021 - May 2023)
    • Possess a high aptitude for creative problem solving and critical thinking based on previous education, work, internships, and volunteer experiences.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Good communication and presentation skills.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Engage fully in each internal business area rotation including learning and performing key jobs and tasks as assigned.
    • Actively develop and demonstrate self-awareness, agility, strong analytical skills, collaboration, creative problem solving, empathy, innovation, critical thinking, communication, intercultural, resilience and leadership skills.
    • Participate in, contribute to and complete project work and additional assignments.
    • Create exceptional internal and external customer experiences in all interactions.
    • Participate in meetings, trainings, and mentoring/coaching opportunities.
    • Be an integral part of a high-performing, collaborative, cohesive team to exhibit both leadership and supportive roles.
    • Identify opportunities for Bank improvement, foster teamwork, and build strong relationships with other Bank associates.
    • Grow a balanced network across the organization to allow for deeper enrichment and understanding of all Bank functions.
    • Responsible for learning how to expand customer base through networking and sales calling. Soliciting the business of non- customers as well as existing customers. Obtain and maintaining product knowledge to generate credit, deposit, and fee business.
    • Participating in community involvement activities to enhance the Bank’s visibility.
    • Responsible for delivering the quality of service as defined by department standards.
    • Successfully complete all course programs as assigned.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
    • Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank’s values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
    • Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

    INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
    • Ability to serve as a strategic partner, with sound technical and analytical skills, good judgment, and a strong operational and strategic focus.
    • Detail oriented and maintains accuracy while working on multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and persuade across all levels of the organization.
    • Exercising a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy to accomplish objectives.
    • Ability to meet deadlines and maintain composure under pressure.
    • Must be self-motivated, dependable, positive attitude and work in a team environment.
    • Requires a strong sense of urgency and ability to work independently.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to stand or walk. The associate is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
    • Travel between Republic Banking facilities may be necessary at times.
    • Occasional out of town travel could be required.
    • Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings and weekends.
    • Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
