The position currently supervises two subordinate staff and reports to the Disbursement Manager. This position may be identified as Essential Personnel during emergencies and require attendance beyond normal work shift or schedule to meet organizational demands.STARTING SALARY WILL NOT EXCEED 10% OF THE BASE SALARY

    EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
    Oversee and perform routine division activities, such as disbursing checks, processing Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments, to ensure the Clerk and Board financial obligations are completed accurately and met timely.Update/Create process documentation for Accounts Payable related tasksReview and monitor accounts payable processes for compliance with internal controls. Recommend changes to achieve better controls or improve department efficiencies.Process/review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and approval.Communicate with Finance staff on Accounts Payable payments related to: Prepaids, CIP, Fixed Assets, etc.Responsible for management of the Vendor Setup & Maintenance process. Primary subject matter expert for 1099 processing, submission, & reporting.Perform monthly/quarterly reconciliations as assigned.Prepare various year end schedules and provide information for annual audit.Automate any manual accounting and financial reporting or analysis with accounting software.Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers or staff.Provide leadership and support for new initiatives relating to the AP functions and staff. Assists the Finance Department with miscellaneous tasks not listed.Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities: Extensive knowledge about accounting and management principles and Accounts Payable procedures.Demonstrated ability to analyze and correct financial and accounting errors.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.Possess thorough knowledge of federal and state laws and deadlines.Knowledge of Positive Pay, Debit Block and other banking services designed to safeguard disbursements.Ability to supervise employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.Ability to work in a fast-paced, automated environment with many interruptions.Ability to train others on policies and procedures.Commitment to ethical behavior with a willingness to adhere to all company policies and current financial requirements and laws.Use of computer software programs and/or other applications.
