JOB OVERVIEW:
The Associate – Trust Accounting processes client requests accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with documented processes and procedures. This is a proactive, non-sales position focused on servicing and guiding new and existing clients through processes related to completing self-directed investments, including but not limited to private equity, hedge funds, futures, and real estate. In this role, you will provide exceptional service to our clients via phone and email and maintain proper documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Works with the Trust Accounting Team for daily transactions focusing on Distributions, Cash, and In-Kind Transactions
- Efficiently and proactively manages client correspondence (incoming calls, emails, chats, and client visits)
- Answers client questions regarding financial transactions, including asset transfers, distributions, sales, and other client transactions
- Handles client transaction verifications and communications
- Effectively learn and communicate IRS rules and regulations related to IRAs
- Utilize Salesforce, our state-of-the-art CRM system, to keep all transaction and case statuses updated, also logging all communication
- Build and maintain relationships with account holders and referral sources
- Collaborate with the management team for special events or meetings
- Work across departments to assist with special projects, as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Finance or related field preferred
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a Financial Services environment
- Experience in Accounting or Finance preferred

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with and an understanding of the following:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to speak and hear. The associate is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time, as well as stand, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. This job requires the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
