Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and resourceful Stores Supervisor to support the Pathology Department of University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.
This position is 15 hours per week and is based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary. However, there may be occasions when travel to the other main sites is required to support the service.
Main duties of the job
Applicants will have excellent organisational skills to manage numerous requests for supplies from many different areas.
Basic information technology knowledge will be useful as the ordering process is fully electronic and there will be a requirement to raise purchase orders on local and national electronic systems.
Communication skills will be vital in working with many different users of the Pathology service and you will need to be flexible and responsive to urgent issues that may arise.

We operatefrom three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, andUlverstonCommunity Health Centre.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
