Truck Service Technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services truck engine systems and components. Communicates findings and recommendations to customers and management. Being a Truck Service Technician must be competent in electrical components, hydraulics, and electric power fundamentals. Fully trained in safety and machine preparation and is capable of managing work documentation. Additionally, Truck Service Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Truck Service Technician may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.
