Key Responsibilities:

• Safe and Efficient Driving: Operate a Class A commercial vehicle following all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods.
• No Freight Handling: This position does not involve loading or unloading freight, allowing you to focus exclusively on driving.
• Pre-Trip Inspections: Perform routine pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition, reporting any issues to the maintenance department.
• Route Planning: Efficiently plan routes to minimize travel time and maximize fuel efficiency while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, including receipts, mileage, and hours of service, as required by DOT regulations.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and clients during deliveries, ensuring a positive and courteous experience.
• Safety: Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper cargo securement, and promptly report any accidents, incidents, or violations.
• Compliance: Comply with all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal regulations, including hours of service.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
• Clean driving record with no major violations
• Minimum of 1 year of recent tractor trailer experience
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety procedures
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate a high level of responsibility
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
