Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Being a Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. The Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Performs wash / minor repairs. Misc. - Wait time, Tractor srvs. Position Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred. Valid commercial driver’s license in the state of residence and DOT Medical 1 yr. commercial tractor trailer exp., FMCSR knowledge, basic computer skills Able to work any schedule Monday – Sunday, including 2nd & 3rd shifts Local travel is required. The COVID-19 vaccination is/may be a condition of employment. All candidates who accept an offer for employment will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screen as a condition of employment. Physical Requirements: The employee may be exposed a strong magnetic field or environmental hazards such as exposure to noise, and travel. Standard office environment. More than 50% of the time: Sit, stand, and walk. Repetitive movement of hands, arms and legs. See, speak and hear to be able to communicate with patients.
