Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Being a Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. The Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Operation: Operate a Class A tractor-trailer combination in strict compliance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company safety regulations.
- Tire Delivery: Deliver tires to customers and distribution centers throughout the Midwest region, following pre-established routes and schedules.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs to ensure the tractor-trailer's reliability.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and mileage logs.
- Communication: Maintain effective communication with dispatch, customers, and colleagues, providing updates on delivery status and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, address customer inquiries or concerns professionally, and represent the company positively.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 1 year of recent Class A tractor-trailer driving experience
- Strong knowledge of and adherence to all federal and state transportation regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and handle tires as required
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to safety

Pay: $1,850.00 - $2,000.00 per week
