Being a Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. Basic Function
The Maintenance Technician performs routine and preventative maintenance, diagnostics/troubleshooting, and repair on vehicles for which a maintenance request has been received, including Company and owner/operator tractors and trailers, as well as equipment purchased by the Company. All maintenance and repairs on equipment are performed with driver and vehicle safety is the primary focus, including compliance with all DOT standards. This position also completes any welding necessary for repairs and upkeep of equipment.
