Truck Driver - Light operates a truck that transports small or light cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Operates vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Being a Truck Driver - Light conducts routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition. Manages appropriate cargo documentation and provides necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods. Additionally, Truck Driver - Light coordinates the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured. Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class B. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Truck Driver - Light works under moderate supervision. Responsibilities
Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer guidelines
Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Qualifications
2 years of Service Technician experience desired
Certified Manufacturer Technician or B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair
Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
ASE Certification recognized
Excellent customer service skills
Basic Computer skills
Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Team player
Must have a valid and insurable driver's license
Must have a clean back ground check and complete a drug test
