Maintains contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Requires Commercial Driver License (CDL) - Class A. May require a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC). Typically reports to a supervisor. Vali Inc has an opportunity for a Heavy Truck Driver to transport materials, merchandise, equipment, or workers between various types of establishments, and customers places of business. Driver may also load or unload trucks with helpers. Loading rail cars will require setting out planks to drive from car to car and handling rail car binders to secure equipment to rail cars. Driver will be required to climb in and out of vehicles on the rail. Hooking up various types of military style trailers requiring long periods of standing and bending to get items ready to haul or stage.
