Additionally, Treasury Analyst determines procurement of funds, and monitors investments and collections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Treasury Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Treasury Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience.     Job Description

    Johnson County Government's Treasury, Taxation and Vehicles Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Treasury Controls Analyst within its Banking and Cash Management Division.

    The posting will remain open until filled. 

    Responsibilities of this role include:

    • Serves as TTV change agent coordinating cross-department and cross-functional efforts of business, information technology, and external partners to challenge current state processes to fit more consistently with Oracle and implement solutions to create efficiencies, mitigate risks and enhance cost effectiveness.
    • Prepares and guides others in the preparation of, daily receipt entries, financial analysis, financial reporting, and reconciliation of daily financial activity; completes complex or difficult adjusting entries affecting departmental or Countywide accounting systems; Coordinates and prepares complex audit work papers for internal and external auditors. 
    • Communicates both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise, and respectful manner - with fiscal contacts Countywide in order to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures to maintain the safety and security of County funds; advises fiscal staff in the County on banking and treasury strategies to maintain, develop, and/or enhance professional treasury products to resolve complex business, financial, and customer service issues. 
    • Administers and manages the Countywide online banking functions, including, but not limited to State and Federal tax payments, Healthcare premiums, retirement fund payments, property tax disbursements, and Public Building Commission fund payments; reports daily financial activity to Cash Manager and reviews all investment transactions to ensure accuracy and internal controls; reports and distributes all investment interest earned Countywide.
    • Develops training materials and / or procedure manuals related to system use related to TTV areas of responsibility as warranted.
    • Completes special projects and tasks as requested, and learn Cash Manager responsibilities to effectively provide coverage as needed.  

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, finance or a closely related field (with at least 15 semester hours of accounting coursework); two years of treasury, cash management, or accounting experience is required.  Candidate must successfully pass a criminal history check; and possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

    Two or more years or experience using Oracle and two or more years working the public sector preferred.

    Johnson County Government requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department/Agency.
