Being a Treasury Analyst researches economic trends and investment opportunities. May assist senior staff with preparing materials and reports using standard methodologies and procedures. Additionally, Treasury Analyst determines procurement of funds, and monitors investments and collections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Treasury Analyst work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. To be a Treasury Analyst typically requires 0-2 years of related experience. Is responsible for maintaining current and proper documentation in the portfolio.  The representative is a knowledge resource and customer service liaison for bankers and customers regarding treasury management processes, best practices, products, and services. This full time (40 hours a week) position located in our Treasury Mangement department in Meridian, Idaho, Coeur d'Alene Idaho or Spokane Washington locations. 

    Minimum wage $17.56 DOE

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Handle set up of cash management, business bill pay and remote deposit.
    • Will provide general support of treasury products, referring to an expert when needed.
    • Perform training of customers on cash management, business bill pay and remote deposit.
    • Handle research and process maintenance requests.
    • Ensure that proper records are maintained, and that safeguards and systems are in place for retention and storage as needed.
    • Provides support to branches and departments for Treasury Management services.
    • Remain informed of all Bank products and services in order to spot sales opportunities and refer business, when necessary, to the appropriate person for follow up and close of sale.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of all customer financial information.
    • Remain informed of and conform to all applicable policies and procedures, including security. 
    • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

    About You

    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum 6 months previous banking experience
    • 2 years of previous customer service experience
    • Knowledge of banking products and services
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills both verbal and written to maintain a heavy volume of correspondence, personal contact, and telephone communication.
    • Good knowledge of Word and Excel
    • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
    • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.  Strong organizational skills.

    PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, ABILITY: 

    • Jack Henry
    • Good understanding of banking regulations and compliance
    • TechXpert Certification

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

    Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

    Specific lifting abilities required by this job include: Sedentary work. Exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include: The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation/inspection of machines and/or using measurement devices at distances close to the eyes.

Treasury Analysts seem to be robots plugging in numbers to spreadsheets, but the Director of Billing basically is responsible for and involved in all accounting related to revenues – deferring unearned, accruing unbilled, dealing with auditors, analyzing to ensure accuracy, determining appropriate accruals for bad debt, some forecasting of future billing and/or cash flow, etc.
