Oversees cash reporting and forecasting, credit administration, lender compliance requirements, administration of business insurance programs, and debt facility modeling. Being a Treasury Analyst researches economic trends and investment opportunities. May assist senior staff with preparing materials and reports using standard methodologies and procedures. Additionally, Treasury Analyst determines procurement of funds, and monitors investments and collections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. M.T. Maritime is a ship owner and operator with a 40-year history of success and expansion around the world and is currently seeking an additional treasury analyst to work in our Southport, CT location.
M.T. Maritime has two product segments, comprising of chemical and product tankers that are marketed under MTM Trading LLC and handy size bulk carriers which are run under the brand Strategic Bulk Carriers Inc.
About the Role:
The primary purpose of the Treasury Analyst role is to perform day-to-day cash and debt management activities, as well as support cash forecasting, cash investing and FX requirements, while maintaining accurate books and records.
Intention is for the individual to gradually also be involved in the monthly general ledger closing process for assigned holding companies as well as accounts receivable and payable related activities for the Group. The Treasury Analyst will report to the Treasurer.
