Position Title: Treasurer to the Board of Directors

Position Description and Responsibilities: This is a Voting position on the Board of

Directors, Has a complete understanding of the Bylaws of the ETAC, it’s history and the

vision. Attends meetings. Excellent communication skills. Creates a budget and financial

reports that estimate the revenues and expenses of the ETAC over a specific future period.

Overseeing the ETAC’s financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and

accountability. Generating financial reports that show the organizations financial

performance and position. Advising the board on financial strategy and fundraising,

providing ideas for financing the organization’s activities and goals. Works with a Certified

Public Accountant (CPA) to certify the year to end accounts. Manages donations and

investments, manages relationships with donors and other partners. Has check-signing

authority to reimburse expenses, and use of the organization’s debit card, and handling

small cash expenses. There can be overlap between the directors and officers who take on

multiple roles.

Qualifications and Skills Required for the Position: Exceptional commitment to the

interpersonal skills. Financial literacy, including familiarity with financial principles,

budgeting and financial reporting and analysis. Attention to details. Timeliness in

communication skills. Creativity. Critical thinking. Aptitude for the organization. An

understanding of the arts and the communities in the East Tennessee areas.

Education: Prior experience working with accounts and good understanding of working

with nonprofits. A passion to support the visual arts and encourage all in the community

to experience the visual arts.

All positions are voluntary, there is NO compensation for your time.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: From $1.00 per year

Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
