    Position Summary: In coordination with the Manager, the Coding Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the inpatient or the outpatient coders. Manages workflow and supervises coders. Manages the daily uncoded report. Monitors and assesses performance of staff to ensure timely and accurate coding of encounters. Ensures delivery of coding staff education and training. Assists with hiring.
     
    Essential Functions:
    • Codes & Assigns APRs/APGs -  Reviews medical records to determine the diagnosis/procedures for the patient and assigns ICD-10 CM and PCS and CPT codes to those diagnoses/procedures.
    • Revenue Cycle - Meets the weekly uncoded encounter financial goals.
    • Revenue Cycle - Meets the weekly uncoded encounter financial goals.
    • Assists Data Quality Mgr - Assists Data Quality Manager with various projects.
    • Reports - Works various reports including Health Services Cost Review Commission errors and unanswered queries.
    • Coding - oversight Manages the coding and supervises the coders.
    • Staff Readiness - Ensures that staff is sufficient to do that work and they are properly trained.
    • Communication - Effectively communicates with all staff, associates and patients.
    • Engagement - Works to ensure staff are engaged and happy to be Lifebridge Health employees.

    Job Requirements: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Experience: 3-5 years. 

    Certifications, Licenses:  Inpatient - RHIA, RHIT, CCS Outpatient - RHIA, RHIT, COC or CPC
