Position Overview:

The Travel Coordinator (TC) is responsible for all aspects of travel for the Alutiiq M&E Employees. This includes travel tickets, visas, passports, and other travel documents. The TC must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking to meet deadlines for the contract.

Primary/Major Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Coordinate travel tickets (CONUS and OCONUS) with travel department for program employees per contract and government regulations.
• Review tickets received from travel department for accuracy.
• Procure hotel reservations for program employees.
• Procure travel visas for program employee.
• Create Traveler Profiles for all program employees.
• Assist with interpretation of the Federal Travel Regulations, DSSR, Fly America Act and company travel policy.
• Assist employees in obtaining passports for foreign travel.
• Coordinate travel documents for program employees.
• Coordinate with foreign site locations to provide travel details for program employees.
• Advise employees on special or adverse conditions as they relate to individual travel plans.
• Monitor flight delays at airports globally.
• Monitor any security/life safety concerns for program personnel traveling abroad.
• May be required to liaise with OCONUS travel and security vendors.
• Work with program administrative analysts to ensure travel overtime is accurate and recorded properly.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• 3 years’ experience in travel coordination, with 2 years’ experience with overseas travel coordination
• Travel Agent Certificate is preferred, but not required
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Secret Clearance
