LOCATION: Bldg. 955, Eglin AFB, FL
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: This position reports to the Finance & Accounting Manager and is responsible for all aspects of employee travel, beginning with reservations and ending with processing of travel expense reports. Primary duties include organization of all employee travel reservations including air travel, hotel, and rental car, in accordance with contract requirements and individual task directives. Position often requires handling multiple travel groups at one time, traveling to various locations, and often with short notice. The Travel Coordinator is responsible for determining need/amount of travel advance funds for employees who are not issued a company Travel Card.
GENERAL DUTIES: The Travel Coordinator acts as primary POC for all travel related activities. Demonstrates and ensures customer service as #1 priority through delivery of prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional assistance of all employees.
OTHER DUTIES: Back-up duties include assisting with travel coordination and credit card processing. Additional duties may be assigned to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas. Work may require occasional overtime and travel. Must have good vocal skills and be able to work in a group/team environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Position requires at least 2 years of directly related experience with Joint Travel Regulations (JTR). Must possess in depth knowledge of the JTR, including interpreting and applying regulations to ensure compliance of allowable & reimbursable costs for Government contract travel. Requires excellent organization and communication skills (verbal and written) to coordinate O&M Contractor travel based on contract requirements and travel location availability of flights and hotels. Applicant must be a forward thinker who can anticipate and mitigate travel delays.
Experience with AP-related business systems, including Deltek Costpoint and Cognos, and SAP Concur preferred. Knowledgeable of SPOT, coordinating foreign travel with other DoD components, pre-travel training requirements; and pre-travel health screenings/checks is desired. 2 years CONCUR travel and expense platform preferred. Experience providing training for CONCUR users preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: This position requires successful completion of a National Agency Check, with Investigation (NACI). Candidates must submit to a NACI and must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work activities are normally performed in an environmentally controlled area in an office setting on Eglin AFB, FL.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position will require the substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and or/fingers. Must be able to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal.
